Academic Awards


At St. Agnes Catholic Academy, we celebrate the growth and achievements of our students through monthly and yearly recognitions that honor their academic efforts and virtuous living.

Peacemaker Awards

Each month, students in grades PK4 through 8 are recognized for embodying the Virtue of the Month through their actions and exemplary behavior.

September – Charity
Virtue: Loving God with all your heart, mind, and strength, and your neighbor as yourself

October – Friendship
Virtue: Sharing a mutual love that seeks the good of the other

November – Courtesy
Virtue: Being thoughtful of others

December – Purity
Virtue: Keeping your soul free of sin

January – Fortitude
Virtue: Being brave and strong in the face of trials

February – Prudence
Virtue: Making good decisions in specific circumstances

March – Respect
Virtue: Recognizing the dignity of all people

April – Forgiveness
Virtue: Pardoning those who offend you

May – Responsibility
Virtue: Being reliable in your duties and accountable for your actions

End-of-the-Year Grade Awards

The day before the last day of school, teachers will present class awards, other than those listed below, in the homerooms to students in PK4 – 7th grades. Eighth graders receive awards at Grad Night.

On the last day of school, after Mass, the following awards will be given:

  • Perfect Attendance: Given to students who have been in school all day, every day (no absences, no tardies, and no early dismissals).

  • Faculty Award: Given to two students per homeroom who the faculty believes have made the greatest personal growth.

  • Citizenship Award: Given to two students per homeroom who have consistently demonstrated good school citizenship by behaving in an age appropriate, respectful, and responsible manner.

  • Peacemaker Award, A Sower of God’s Peace: Given to one student per homeroom who has demonstrated outstanding kindness and thoughtfulness to their teacher and fellow students throughout the year.

  • JOY Award: Given to one student per homeroom who has consistently demonstrated the desire to live a life of putting Jesus first, Others second, and Yourself last.
