At St. Agnes, athletics is about character, teamwork, and representing our school with integrity and school spirit. Whether on the field, court, or track, our student-athletes are encouraged to develop their God-given talents, grow in sportsmanship, and give their best in all they do.
With a variety of sports offered each season, dedicated coaches, and a state-of-the-art gym at the Spencer Center, we are proud to foster a culture of excellence, resilience, and JOY—Jesus first, Others second, Yourself last.
Athletic Registration
Steps To Register Your Child For An Athletic Team
Step 1 - Your child must tryout for the sport they wish to participate in. They can only attend the tryout for the corresponding/age-appropriate team level.
Step 2 - You will receive an email message letting you know if your child has made the team or not.
Step 3 - It is required for you as a parent to attend the "Play Like A Champion" Training only once in order for your child to be able to play a sport.
Step 4 - If your child has made the team, in order to register him or her, you must fill out the athletic forms and email them to the Athletic Director, Coach Jesus Alfonso at: jalfonso@stagneskb.us
Step 5 - You must pay the sport participation fee of $325. You will receive an email from Ms. Casanova the Bursar with a payment link that will allow you to specifically pay the fee for your child and the athletic team they will play for. If for some reason your child was admitted to the team and you did not receive an email with the payment link, please email Ms. Casanova at busar@stagneskb.us
Please note, your child will not be able to participate in an after school athletic team, attend team practices or games unless you have completed all of the above mentioned requirements which include: attending the Play Like A Champion training once, filling out, signing and emailing in all the requested documents, and submitting the payment for participation in the team sport.
Other Requirements To Participate
It is a privilege to represent St Agnes in sport. All practices and games are MANDATORY. No other leagues or hobbies may take priority over St Agnes teams team events.
Athletes may only participate in 1 sport per season. The exception to this rule is Cross Country, Golf, and Track. Athletes may participate in these sports and a team sport, but the priority will go to Team sport if there is a conflict. If an athlete makes both team they MUST pay for both sports ($325 each sport)
If a varsity team makes the playoffs and an athlete does not participate in the CAL Playoff (Outside of a family emergency). The athlete will not receive medal earned by the team and they will not be allowed to participate in any other St Agnes Sport team for the remainder of the school year.
The Spencer Center Gym
Our beautiful and expansive St. Agnes Catholic Academy enjoys using our Spencer Center as the gymnasium for our students to take their physical education classes in, to practices their sports, to host games for our athletic teams, to have school-wide pep rallies, and for our school assemblies. The Spencer Center also serves us as a multi-purpose facility for meetings, events, presentations, and a variety of other activities that bring our St. Agnes community together. Beneath the Spencer Center, is a covered garage area that also accommodates students during arrival and dismissal, different activities, and more.
