Kindergarten Delivers Smiles
Our Kindergarten students made heartfelt cards for Father and personally delivered them to his office! During their visit, he kindly gave them a little tour, making the moment even more special.
Such a sweet way to show gratitude, joy, and the love that makes St. Agnes feel like family.
PK4 Peacemakers Taking a Nap with Jesus
Our PK4 Peacemakers had the sweetest reminder of faith during nap time, resting peacefully with Jesus by their side. What a beautiful way to show our youngest students that He is always near. In PK4, faith is lived out in simple and meaningful ways. Students are also excitedly using their Sunday Mass chart, encouraging families to attend Mass together and grow in love for the Lord. And through the creative things they build and create, our little ones are learning that LOVE can be shown in everything we do.
A Very Blessed Ash Wednesday
Blessed beginning of the holy season of Lent. Last Wednesday, our St. Agnes Academy community gathered for Holy Mass to begin the sacred season of Lent in prayer, reflection, and unity. It was a beautiful reminder that Lent is not a journey we walk alone, but together as a school family.
Our youngest students gathered reverently in the school chapel, where Sister Ana Pia, SCTJM, and Sister Alyssa, SCTJM, lovingly distributed the ashes. Witnessing the faith and devotion of our little ones as they received the sign of the cross on their foreheads was truly moving.
January Peacemakers: Living the Virtue of Fortitude

Our Butterfly Garden Is Growing Strong! 🦋🌿
The Butterfly Garden survived the winter, and we are not giving up! Just like our students, the seedlings are growing at their own pace, little by little. We’re also excited to share that additional seedlings are coming soon! We are currently looking for “weekend waterers” to help care for our garden. If you’re interested in watering, please let Ms. Laly Romero Rodriguez know. Together, we help things grow, in the garden and in our community.

Our Lady of Lourdes: A Beautiful Mass
On the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, our St. Agnes family gathered for a beautiful Mass and procession, welcoming Mother Mary into the church with reverence and joy. Students placed candles at her feet as symbols of their personal intentions, and a basket holding the prayers and names of all our students and faculty was lovingly presented to her. It was a powerful reminder that we entrust our entire school community to her maternal care. We are also deeply grateful for our incredible Homeroom Moms, who organized our Gala with such generosity and love. At the end of Mass, Fr. Juan Carlos offered them a special blessing in gratitude for the beautiful work they freely gave to our community — a truly inspiring moment of service. Together, may we continue to place everything at Mary’s feet.
Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us.
7th Grade Retreat: A Day to Grow in Faith 🤍
Last Wednesday, our 7th graders stepped away from their usual routine to spend a special day on retreat. Through prayer, reflection, talks, and time together, they were invited to grow deeper in their relationship with Christ and with one another. It was a beautiful opportunity to pause, listen, and open their hearts to what God is doing in their lives. We are grateful for the time, guidance, and care that made this day so meaningful for our students. May the seeds planted during this retreat continue to grow — on good ground!

Presentation of Our PK3 Children to the Lord
Our PK3 children were beautifully presented to the Lord in a special moment led by Fr. Jorge Reyes. Surrounded by their family members, our youngest students were entrusted to God’s loving care, asking His blessing over their lives, growth, and journey of faith.
A tender and meaningful moment reminding us that each child is a precious gift from God.
A Night to Remember: St. Agnes Gala 2026
Our St. Agnes Gala on Friday was truly an incredible evening! Filled with joy, celebration, and generous hearts, the night brought our community together for a beautiful cause.
Thanks to the overwhelming support of our families, friends, and sponsors, the Gala was a great success in raising funds toward the remodeling of our school cafeteria, a space that serves our students every day and will now be renewed for years to come.
From the lively atmosphere to the meaningful generosity shown throughout the night, it was a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish together. Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, donated, and helped make this unforgettable evening possible.
Together, we are building the future of St. Agnes.
Algebra in Action: Measuring Real-World Relationships
In Algebra 1, students collected real-world data by measuring arm span and height to see if the two are related. They created scatter plots and drew a line of best fit to model the relationship using an equation. This hands-on project helped students connect algebra to their own bodies and everyday life.
Teachers vs. Students: Kickball Edition ⚾️
One of our favorite St. Agnes traditions returned with plenty of laughs, cheers, and school spirit! Our faculty faced off against the 8th graders in a friendly (and competitive!) kickball game.
After a great match, the students claimed the win with a final score of 2–1. Well played by both teams, memories like these make St. Agnes so special!
Archdiocese Catholic Schools Week Mass
Our Academy joined Catholic schools from across the Archdiocese to celebrate Catholic Schools Week at Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral of Miami, giving thanks for the gift of Catholic education and our shared mission in faith.
6th Grade: Exploring Ancient Chinese Art 🎨
Our 6th graders dove into the rich artistic traditions of Ancient China through hands-on learning! Students practiced traditional Chinese brush painting techniques and proudly completed their in-class Terracotta Army project. Through art and history combined, they explored culture, craftsmanship, and creativity in a meaningful and memorable way.
5th Grade Jamestown Colony Model Project
After learning about the settlers of Jamestown, the first permanent English colony, students created detailed models of the settlement. Their projects included important structures such as the defensive wall and bulwark for protection, row houses where settlers lived, the church for worship, barracks for soldiers, and a trading post for exchanging goods.
This hands-on activity helped students understand how each part of the colony played an important role in daily life and survival. Students showed great creativity and a strong understanding of early colonial history.
PK2–PK4: Book Drive for NICU Families
Our PK2–PK4 students took part in a beautiful Book Drive for NICU families.
Before donating, students gathered for a short reflection to learn who they were serving and why acts of kindness matter. They then lovingly created handmade cards, letting families know that they are being prayed for during this tender time.
