5th Grade Engineers Set Sail🌊

Our 5th grade students recently participated in an exciting STEM Challenge inspired by the Age of Discovery! During this hands-on activity, students learned how explorers sailed across the world to discover new lands, cultures, and trade routes.

Working in STEM teams, students used recycled materials to design and build their own sailing ships , just like the caravels used by early explorers. Once their ships were complete, they tested them on moving water to see which design sailed the fastest.

This challenge encouraged creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving while connecting science and history in a fun, interactive way. Congratulations to all our young engineers and explorers for their hard work and innovative designs!
