A is for Arepas!

Our students brought the letter A to life in the most delicious way: they cooked arepas! They mixed, shaped, and watched their arepas come together, learning that the letter A can stand for something we make and share.

At St. Agnes Catholic Academy, hands-on activities like this help our young learners connect letters and sounds to real experiences they’ll remember. Cooking together also gave them practice following steps, using their hands, and taking turns, all while celebrating a food many of our families know and love.

Best of all was the pride on their faces when they tasted what they made. Learning is always a little sweeter when we do it together.
