Fifth Grade Engineers at Work
Our fifth graders put on their engineering hats this week, building bridges out of Play-Doh to see how many coins each one could hold before it gave way. Students tested their designs, watched closely as the coins added up, and talked through what made some bridges stronger than others.
At St. Agnes Catholic Academy, hands-on science helps our students think critically, solve problems, and learn from every attempt. A bridge that bends is just as valuable as one that holds, because it shows students what to try next.
We also introduced our new Scientist of the Day, a fun way to spark curiosity and celebrate discovery in the classroom. We can’t wait to see what our young scientists explore next!
