SMARTLAB: Self-Driving Car Logic and Algorithmic Design
Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students are diving into advanced computational thinking by programming the Sphero indi robotic car. Unlike basic directional robots, indi allows students to take charge of its onboard color sensor, moving from simple tile-based puzzles to designing intricate algorithmic paths using a dedicated coding app.
This project is a high-level introduction to robotics and computer science, challenging students to act as engineers by constantly testing, debugging their coded routes, and optimizing their solution to solve custom puzzles.
They are not just playing; they are programming the instructions for a self-driving car! This project empowers them to be creators and innovators in the rapidly changing world of technology.
