Thank You Cards for Our Veterans

This week in art class, our students made thank you cards for our veterans. With crayons, markers, and a whole lot of heart, they drew flags, stars, and messages of gratitude for the brave men and women who have served our country.

As they worked, students talked about what veterans have given for our freedom: their time, their courage, and for some, their lives. Each card is a small way to say “we remember you, and we are grateful.”

At St. Agnes Catholic Academy, we teach our students to honor others and to live out JOY: Jesus first, Others second, Yourself last. Thanking those who served is a beautiful way to put others first. As Veterans Day approaches on Wednesday, November 11, we keep all our veterans and their families in our prayers.

Lord, bless and protect all who have served our country, and grant eternal rest to those who gave their lives. Amen.
