Who Helps us Grow
At Wednesday's Mass for our students, Fr. JC asked a question worth sitting with: who is more important — your Pre-K teacher, your homeroom teacher, your religion teacher, your coach?
His answer: that's the wrong question. Each person plays a different role in helping a child become who God created them to be.
Fr. JC pointed to St. Paul's words to the Corinthians: "I planted, Apollos watered, but God caused the growth." Teachers plant. Coaches water. Priests and staff tend the soil in their own way. But the growth itself belongs to God.
He reminded our students the same is true at Mass. The priest isn't the center. Neither are the lectors, the choir, or the altar servers. We're all here for Him.
