Dear St. Agnes Academy Families,
Blessings!
As we continue moving through the beginning of this school year, I want to take a moment to recognize some of the important work taking place each day behind the scenes at St. Agnes Catholic Academy.
Our Principal, Mrs. Luisa Serratore, together with Mrs. Mary Stevens, Assistant Principal, Mrs. Beth Alzola, Dean, and our entire administrative team, has been working diligently to support our students, teachers, and families during what has been a particularly active beginning to the year.
Much of their work may not always be visible to parents. It includes the implementation of PowerSchool and Schoology, helping teachers and families navigate new systems, supporting new faculty members, coordinating schedules and student services, addressing attendance and discipline concerns, meeting with parents, participating in Individual Learning Plan meetings, providing classroom coverage when needed, recruiting additional personnel, and responding to the many unexpected situations that arise during a normal school day.
At the same time, our team continues coordinating the many activities that make our Academy community special, including parent communications, Home & School events, school celebrations, and opportunities that strengthen the relationship between our families and the school.
I share this because running a Catholic school requires much more than what we see in the classroom. Every day there are countless conversations, decisions, adjustments, and acts of service taking place so that our teachers can teach, our students can learn, and our families can feel supported.
There will certainly be moments when a new system needs adjustment, a procedure needs clarification, or something does not work as smoothly as we would like. When that happens, I ask for your patience, communication, and partnership.
I am deeply grateful to our administrative team, faculty, and staff for the tremendous amount of work they are doing for our children.
And I am equally grateful to you, our parents, for entrusting your children to St. Agnes Catholic Academy and for working with us as partners in their education and formation.
Together, we continue building a school community rooted in faith, excellence, respect, and love for our children.
God bless you and your families.
Fr. jc
