Our kindergarten students spent a special retreat day learning all about the saints, our friends in heaven who show us how to love Jesus.
The day included a scavenger hunt through the church. Students looked for the statues of the saints and learned who they were and how they lived for God. Along the way they also discovered the tabernacle, the chalice, the water and wine, and the holy water font, and what each one means in our faith.
At St. Agnes Catholic Academy, our youngest learners grow in faith by exploring, asking questions, and making real connections. Our littlest Bears learned that the saints were ordinary people who loved God with their whole hearts, and that every one of us is called to be a saint too.
The retreat was a beautiful way to prepare for our All Saints Day celebration. We can’t wait to see our little saints shine!
